Usually we are very good and conscious about how we talk to others, our friends, our family (most of the time ;)) but when it comes to ourselves — what are you saying to yourself? Why is that important?
Well thoughts become things.
It’s prudent to know what we are saying to ourselves.
Recently I was on a trip to celebrate my birthday. It was a city that I had never been in. You know how Superman gets his powers from the sun? Or you know what happens when someone puts kryptonite near him? He loses his superpowers.
Last week that is how I felt. I was literally weak physically and even spiritually.
I had never experienced anything like that in my life . There was no connection . It was imperative that my self talk was aligned . Talking to myself, Ming, you’re going to be okay. But nothing in my body was agreeing with it.
In fact, my body was sick. I looked in the mirror and couldn’t see myself! I didn’t say anything to my BFF that was with me but she was experiencing something similar.
This entire trip made me realize how important it is what we say to ourselves. Because we are the ones believing it! The trip was something I will never ever forget either.
If we are saying to ourselves, it’s really hard to get into Medical School. Then that is going to be our truth.
If we saying to ourselves, if I lost weight, I would feel better. Then that is going to be our truth.
If we are saying to ourselves, there doesn’t seem to be any single people like myself . Then that is going to be our truth.
If we are saying to ourselves , why am I always in debt? Then that is going to be our truth.
You get what I’m saying here? It’s something we all need to practice.
The next time you feel a little “off” or not connected, check in – what are you saying to yourself?
Let’s connect to that “sun” within ourselves.

I look forward to each of your blog posts! I have some many positive qualities, I’m smart, beautiful, kind. But for some sad reason inside my head I question if my life is meaningful. I’m 54 with great life experience but I tend to feel like a failure. I am getting better, growing and growing. One thing that has helped is videos on YouTube , affirmations that I had through out the day!:-) Love u Ming
